Those beaches located to the north of the island are more developed as they are near the port of Ban Saladan – the further south you go, the more remote and peaceful the beaches become, but also with less amenities. The beach itself is about 3km long, white and sandy. Its definitely the most developed bay on Koh Lanta and gets busy in high season. There’s a good selection of resorts and bungalows here on this Koh Lanta beach. The headlands at either end of the beach protect the bay, and Koh Lanta locals from the nearby village use the southern end to moor their longtail fishing boats Long Beach is glorious! Several kilometres of golden sands perfect for that pre breakfast run breathing in the sea air and working up an appetite for a hearty breakfast. The only rocks are at either end of the beach and, when we were there, there wasn't much of a problem with litter other than what was washed in with the tide.

Never to crowded and you can always find a complete lonely spot in there. We didn’t find really good places to snorkel but the beach is a great one to do an evening walk while the sun sets in. There are plenty of hostels and hotels near this beach where you Long Beach.
